…not Christmas, but for this family, it felt almost like it. Because being home again after a year is a reason for happiness and joy.
And though the family didn’t reunite for a traditional holiday, their love turned an ordinary April day into a celebration. The visit from the Ambulance of Fulfilled Dreams was a wish made by their son for his parents. At home in Moravia, he cares for his seriously ill mother, while his father lives far away in the Vlčí mák veterans' home in Prague. 
Thanks to us, they were together again after a year. Even a neighbor couldn’t miss this special occasion and stopped by for coffee with his long-time friend.
The beauty of everyday life together and what a gift it is becomes clear only when it’s suddenly no longer possible. We are grateful for this reminder and even more so for the chance to briefly reunite the hands of this lifelong couple and witness their joy.
