Approaching the magical milestone of 100 years, Mrs. Anastázie, bearer of a beautiful name, had her own wish. Her ID card bears the year 1929, and sadly, the end is now measured in days, perhaps weeks.
"Please, I would like to go back home, even just for a moment… to where my family’s roots are, where I spent my childhood, and to look one last time at my parents’ graves."
We were able to fulfill this wish. The tears of joy on her timeworn face were the greatest reward we could ask for.
