A day when poppies appear on lapels and in the media - a symbol of respect for those who have served and sacrificed for others. It is an opportunity to remember the courage, responsibility and personal bravery of the men and women in uniform. We at the Ambulance of Fulfilled Dreams also had the honor of fulfilling the last wishes of some of them. Our cooperation with the war veterans' home at the Ústřední vojenské nemocnici Praha - Vlčí mák fills and inspires us. These people lead us to deep reflection and fill us with awe.
We recently helped Mr. Miroslav, who wanted to visit the castle in Lány again, where he once worked. We took him to familiar places, showed him where the barracks used to be, where he went to the infirmary, and happily shared his memories from those years. We listened with enthusiasm and after the tour we offered him tea in the café. But he refused with a smile – his wish was fulfilled, and that meant everything to him.
Thank you to all veterans for their service. Thank you for reminding us of true values.
